Environmental
Policy

Here
at Event
Staging and Structures Ltd we have regulated environmental
policy. We aim to continually improve our environmental standards
and train our employees to a standard where they will fully understand
the importance of environmental issues that affect our company
and the planet. We have made the commitment to reduce our impact
on the environment and give ourselves targets to improve our environmental
management. We comply with all the relevant legislation. We do
an annual review on how we run our business, how it affects the
environment and how we can improve and reduce the impact that
we have on the environment.
As we run our own fleet
of vehicles it is important to us that they are all in fully working
order and we are always looking to improve and reduce the amount
of emissions that our vehicles produce by any ways and means.
We aim to purchase
environmentally friendly products and resources where possible
and conserve energy by being more energy efficient.
Our office staff ensure
that they recycle as much paper, cardboard and plastic as possible
to reduce the amount of waste that is discarded.
In this business we
use a lot of steel and metal to manufacture our own equipment.
This incurs a lot of scrap metal and steel which we will attempt
to re use for other projects or recycle efficiently. All of our
wood and timbre is acquired from sustainable sources and we also
recycle any surplus wood as far as we can.
The location of our
warehouses ensures that disturbance through noise is kept to a
minimum. Although there is a housing estate near to the foundry
where we are bases we ensure that noise pollution is reduced wherever
possible.
